Your licence

If you downloaded Termex from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement governs your licence to use it; these terms add to it.

Purchases and subscriptions

Termex Pro purchases and subscriptions are shown in the App Store and billed to your Apple Account. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Third-party services

Termex connects directly to the servers, jump hosts and proxy targets you configure, and, if you use Tailnet Import, to your Tailscale account. Your agreement with each of those providers governs your use of them; Magrathean is not responsible for them.

Using the app safely and lawfully

Termex is an SSH client. Use it only to connect to systems you own or have explicit authorisation to access, and only to traverse networks you are authorised to use. Unauthorised access to a computer system is a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 in the United Kingdom, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act in the United States, and equivalent laws elsewhere. You are solely responsible for complying with applicable law and with any obligations to system and network owners. Do not use port forwarding, SOCKS5 proxying or jump-host routing to bypass network access controls on a network you are not authorised to traverse.

Termex contains and links to cryptographic functionality (SSH, SFTP and Apple’s platform cryptographic libraries) and may be subject to UK, US, EU and other export-control and sanctions laws. By using Termex you confirm you are not in a comprehensively embargoed country and not on any UK, US, EU or UN list of restricted parties.

Availability

The app is provided as it is. Features that depend on Apple iCloud, Tailscale or Cloudflare may change or stop when those services change.

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version.
