Tescam Privacy Notice
1. Who we are
Tescam is published by MAGRATHEAN UK LTD (“Magrathean”). This notice explains what the app does with your data. The Magrathean privacy policy covers everything else, including your rights, how to contact us, and how the Tescam website (magrathean.uk/solutions/tescam/) counts visitors using Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics.
2. In short
Tescam works entirely on your device. The recordings you select never leave it unless you choose to export or share them yourself, and the app has no tracking or analytics software of its own.
3. On your device
Tescam reads dashcam recordings from a folder you choose, using a security-scoped bookmark so it can return to that folder. It keeps no copy of your recordings beyond what you choose to export; on iPad, an export is held in temporary app storage until you share or save it. Your recordings can contain personal data, including images, audio, location and driving data of you, your passengers, pedestrians or other people; if telemetry is available, Tescam can display or burn it into an export at your choice. To remove everything the app has stored, delete the app.
4. What leaves your device

If you export or share a clip, it goes wherever you send it (Files, AirDrop, Mail, a cloud drive, and so on); that destination’s own privacy practices apply once you have chosen it.
5. Permissions
Tescam asks for access only to the folder or files you choose to open. It does not request camera, microphone, location or local-network access.
6. Keeping and deleting data
Tescam keeps nothing beyond the folder access you grant and the exports you create. Deleting the app removes its local settings.
7. Changes
We update this notice when the app changes and show the date at the top.
