These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Finex UK application (the "App") provided by MAGRATHEAN UK LTD. ("Magrathean UK", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number 16955343) with its registered office at 16 Caledonian Court West Street, Watford, England, WD17 1RY. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) for iOS. If there is a conflict, the mandatory Apple terms apply to the extent required by Apple.
License and Usage
Finex UK is licensed to you, not sold. You may use the App on Apple-branded devices (iOS) that you own or control, subject to Apple's usage rules and these Terms. You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to reverse engineer it, or use it in violation of applicable law.
Subscriptions and Billing
Some features may require a subscription. Trial availability, pricing, renewal terms, and taxes are presented in the App Store at the time of purchase. Payments and renewals are processed by Apple, and you can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Financial Calculations and Information
Finex UK provides calculations based on UK government regulations, publicly available benefit rates, and tax rules current as of 2026/27. While we strive for accuracy, benefit and tax regulations change frequently. You are responsible for verifying calculations with official government sources and seeking professional advice where appropriate.
Not Financial Advice
The App provides information and calculations only. It does not constitute financial advice, legal advice, or professional guidance. Finex UK is not a substitute for consulting with qualified financial advisors, accountants, benefits advisors, or government agencies. Always verify benefit entitlements and tax obligations with official sources such as HMRC, DWP, or Citizens Advice.
Local Data and Accuracy
All calculations are performed locally on your device. You are responsible for entering accurate information. Finex UK cannot guarantee that calculations will match official government assessments, as individual circumstances vary and regulations are subject to change. We do not provide data backup or recovery services.
Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that calculations will be error-free, that the App will be uninterrupted, or that results will match official government determinations. Benefit and tax rules are complex and subject to interpretation.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MAGRATHEAN UK LTD. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, benefits, tax overpayments, or financial decisions arising out of your use of the App. You use the App at your own risk.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts located in England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms.
